Very reliable and reasonably priced Indian, with a wide range of traditional dishes, some with the a Welsh twist. I've only had takeaway meals, but they've always been reliably good. Plenty of vegetarian options, too. The food errs on the spicy side, so watch out if you're used to 'mild' Madras or Dhansak dishes!

The Indo Cymru is directly opposite The Codfather on Cowbridge Road East in Canton. When you consider the other Indian's and Bangladeshi restaurants that are on this strip, you would have to describe this perfectly good Indian restaurant as being average. It is definitely outclassed by the Eurasian... but is it attempting to be in the same league... probably not! It is however a modern Indian with tasteful decorative style, the food is always good, and sometimes excellent, and the prices are a lot less than at the Eurasian. It's a different approach to a similar idea, and achieves what it sets out to do very well. It can get a bit noisy when the pubs kick everyone out, but by and large you'll have a very pleasant experience here. I recommend anything from the tandor, and that you order a take-out after 11.00 rather than eat in!

We always go here, the staff are lovely and the food is good quality, good value and reliable. It's not posh, just your standard UK Indian but very tasty. Most of the time there's no need to book and only really gets bursting on match days, they do do delivery and best of all are open until 2am on the weekends!
